From the day I called my friend Hiwote and asked, ‘Can you help me make a podcast?’ to the final episode going live, I asked myself the same question over and over.
Why the hell did I sign myself up for this?
Don’t get me wrong— working on it with two of my favourite people in the world made it fun and we laughed a lot. But at every stage, I had to face the cringe fear.
The fear of being seen trying.
Which was the only thing I knew for sure my success would depend on, when I decided to go full time with coaching.
My ability to keep pushing through that fear, one awkward, nerve-wracking step at a time.
Six months later, I’d kind of forgotten how much growth it took to actually get to the launch. Until people started sending me screenshots of The Possibility Pattern on their Spotify Wrapped—and I remembered.
Wait I actually did it.
In hindsight, it’s much clearer to me how so much of the courage to launch the podcast, came from having started this newsletter back in 2023. Many issues of which turned into the first drafts of the episode scripts.
And I launched the newsletter because, in 2022, I intentionally spent months trying to get more comfortable sharing on Instagram, and eventually pressed ‘publish post’ enough times to be able to then press ‘send email’.
All of that started because, in 2021, I started taking 1:1 coaching clients, which is how I came up with The Possibility Pattern transformation framework that is the foundation of everything I share on IG, in this newsletter and in the podcast…
So when I had a call last Friday about a project I’ve dreamed of my whole life, what felt surprising to me was that for the first time ever, it didn’t feel like a far-off fantasy.
It felt like the obvious next step.
It really reminded me how much more my life has changed from getting to each milestone, than necessarily any milestone itself.
That process of getting to is what refines your vision, sharpens your ideas, and transforms what felt impossible into feeling inevitable.
Which is ultimately what turns dreams into plans.
So even when it feels like nothing’s happening, as long as you keep taking one step after another towards what you want, every step is adding up in ways you can’t yet see.
And then, one day, something will remind you to look back and you’ll think - ‘Oh yeah, of course this is where it was always leading.”
What’s one bold move you could make in 2025—not knowing how it’ll turn out—but trusting it’ll help you grow into your next level of courage?
